We are seeking a Senior AI Game Designer to join our team and help us create engaging and intelligent game experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing AI systems that drive gameplay, create dynamic and believable NPCs, and provide players with a challenging and rewarding experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI-driven gameplay systems such as enemy behavior, pathfinding, and decision-making.
- Create and manage the behavior of non-player characters (NPCs) to provide players with a believable and immersive game world.
- Work with the game design team to create and implement AI-driven game mechanics that support the overall game design.
- Collaborate with the animation and art teams to create believable and engaging NPC animations and behaviors.
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the field of AI game design.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Debug and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the development process.
- Work with other teams such as programming, art, and QA to ensure the AI systems are integrated and functioning correctly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or other programming languages such as C# or Python.
- Experience with AI development for games, with a strong understanding of AI techniques such as decision-making, pathfinding, and behavior trees.
- Knowledge of AI middleware such as Playmaker or Behavior Designer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal is a plus.
